Parties

By Megan

This guide will tell you everything you need to know about planning a party. It helps you learn what type of party you are having, the food, the entertainment, and the guests.

The Type

There are a lot of party types. There is the birthday party, the dance party, the slumber party, or the pool party. Those aren't all of the types though, but they are commonly known everywhere! If you can't tell which one you want to have here is a short description of each:

Birthday Party:

This one is a party for you! You are celebrating you turning one year older!

Dance Party:

This is just a party where you and a couple of friends get together and dance! Whoo hoo! Party!!!

Slumber Party:

This is a party where your friends sleepover or you go to a friends house and sleep there, you play music, dance, eat, or just chill out and relax and have fun!

Pool Party:

This is a party where you have a pool or rented a pool, and your friends go there and just swim!

The guests

Now, this part tells you who you should invite. I can’t specifically say who you should invite, but I can give you ideas. If you are having a small gathering at home just celebrating your birthday, you might invite over like your family and two of your closest friends. If you are having a huge blowout, you should invite all of your friends, and maybe your brothers, and sisters! The rest of the party types are usually the same case, you invite about a little of both, like ten friends, and ten family members.

The food

This is a little of a hard thing to write out. So this is probably going to be the shortest section of the guide. It depends on what you like, whether you like burgers, sushi, or salad. It is your party, so you decide what you want to eat and drink!

Entertainment

Time for the fun part of the guide!!! This is where I help you decide what will keep your guests happy! Entertainment for you might be, Guitar Hero, dancing, or a clown. Either way entertainment is probably the most important thing you need for a party. You might want to write up a list of things you guys want to do. You might bake cookies, go off the high dive, play video games, listen to music, or watch television. If you do bake cookies, make sure you have parental supervision because of the hot stove! You wouldn't want to burn your hands like I did! *Shivers and has flashback* But that is another story. Just make sure you are doing everything with your parents' permission! Or else you might get into trouble.

Decorations

Decorations aren't the most important thing to planning your party, but they probably are the last thing you need. Usually your decorations match the theme of your party, whether it's High School Musical or pink, it usually matches. To find some nice decorations, go to your local party warehouse or something like that.
