Electives are a special thing that happens in school. Unlike Math, Reading, and Science, and elective is the fun period. In this guide you will learn what an elective is what types of electives there are and how you get grades. READ THIS NOW!!!!

What Are Electives?

There isn't just one specific name for electives. Well, I guess there is because they are electives. But I mean specifically. Electives can be something like a different language, art class, or band. Electives are usually the class in school that we love the most besides lunch and sometimes gym. Next, I will describe some of the more common electives.

Elective Types

Some of the many electives are Spanish, and art. In this section of my guide, I am going to give you the name of that elective, a short description, and some of the things you might do in that class.

Spanish: Spanish is the foreign language from Spain, and most people try and learn it in high school, in Spanish class, you might learn the basics, have a test, and then go on to harder things, if you get lucky, you might get to have a taco!!
French: French is a harder elective to learn. In France and Canada most people speak French, and France is known as the most romantic city to go to oooh! In the class, you will learn about France, learn their customs and holidays and other things like that.
Italian: Much like Spanish, Italian is from some sort of Latino thing. In Italian class, you take tests, learn about Italy, and watch videos on it much like any other class.
Art: In art class, you make art of course. But in some types of art classes you make optical illusions, pillows, and bracelets. In this class like all the others you do worksheets, watch videos, take tests, but I have to say that this is one of my favorite electives ever!
Cooking: The title of this class is pretty self-explanatory you learn how to cook! In this class you make cakes, tacos, and other stuff. You might think it is an easy A+ but . . . .
Band: This is the music elective. I HATE it. But that’s my opinion I am currently in the process of quitting it so I can do other ones. In band you have tests, you listen to horrible music, and you watch movies . . . about music.
Wood shop: In wood shop, you learn how to be a carpenter, and make things like stools, chairs, clocks, and other stuff that’s woody ^_^. You also have tests and finals in this class.

Getting Grades

In electives, people tend to think you get easy A’s in the classes you choose. DON'T BE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE. Those people all end up getting bad grades like D’s and F’s. Especially in art, cooking, and band. (Boy was I wrong!) Chances are that when you join you can’t quit unless it'’s band. But then you feel bad . . . The way teachers grade you is how well you do in that class. Or maybe they grade you on how well you take the tests (it'’s probably that way) Either way, don’'t slack off and think that because you’re cute you’'ll get an A trust me I know *shivers and has a flashback*
